Recent Purchases...

Hello! I just wanted to do a quick post showing you all some of the things I've been buying recently:

Firstly, I did a big boohoo order. I bought this dress, so pretty and so cheap, and tie dye is supposed to be big!! Very similar to the jersey flippy dresses selling in topshop last year that were so popular (and that I still live in!).It was only £15 (but there was 15% off so £12.75). It fits really well, but I think it comes up quite big... I usually buy dresses in a 12, but I could really have done with a 10, so I may have to start wearing a belt with it!

I also bought this amazing floral skirt. I love skirts like this, perfect for wearing with simple t-shirts, or with a band tee etc... and I absolutely adore the colour! This was £8... £6.80 with the discount code. I actually really like the whole outfit in this website photo!

My next buy was this pair of cute, simple, loafers. They were £10 (so £8.50) and are perfect for work. I sort of wish they didn't have the garish diamante, and I don't like how you can see the lining when they are on your feet. But, they will do, and I've scuffed them now (yeah, I trip over my own feet a lot) so will have to keep them!

I've been wondering for a while whether I could actually like a midi skirt... I've seen girls wearing them on nights out and think they often make legs like stumpy and white and horrible. However, I thought they would be a practical work piece for summer, and this one was only £8 (£6.80), so I gave it a go. I actually really liked it, particularly because I decided I could pull it up as high as I wanted depending on what else I was wearing (!) ... BUT it was way too see through, so I'm sadly returning it.

Another item that didn't cut the mustard is this basic crop top. I was trying to recreate the outfit with the purple skirt above, but this crop is really short and really see through and just didn't do slightly-too-flabby-for-sheers-or-crop-tops me any favours. At £6 (£5.10) I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives, anyway.

Finally, I bought some basic black long socks. I'm not sure what there is to say about them, other than I'm excited about wearing them with wellies to T in the Park! £4 (£3.40...yeah yeah, should have gone to Primark...but there isn't one in York!)

And there's more, folks... I picked up this new look blazer as I live in coloured blazers over dresses at work and pale blue is a colour I don't have much of. I'm currently wearing it with jeans and a black lace top (dress down Fridays!), and I love it, it's longline and a bit different. It was £25 from New Look, and I didn't even have a discount code to use, plus I forgot to use the boyfriend's student discount, but hey, I love it!

We went to Edinburgh for the boyfriend's birthday last weekend, and I really wanted a new rucksack to use as it's the most useful type of bag for doing touristy stuff (you can fit lots in and it's hands free!). So I browsed the internet for way too long, wanting a simple brown faux leather thing that would go with anything, but I couldn't find one that I liked for a reasonable price. Instead, I spotted this little baby on the Peacocks website for £12, and had to snap it up! For some reason it magically gave me 20% off at checkout too, but I did have to pay for delivery so it kind of evens out.

The final thing I bought was on my grocery shop. I always have a quick look at the clothes section whenever I'm in Tesco, and these babies jumped out at me! They fit so snugly too...I hate sandals that just move about your foot when you walk. They were £12.50.

I actually also bought a couple of basic tops from H&M (grey marl, and white with thin black stripe), for £3.99 each, but I can't find them on the website!
